Top 5 Yoga Studios in Manchester

Yoga has quickly become very popular, with celebrities posting their downward dogs and yogis showing us impressive moves on Instagram it's hard not to want to give it a go, and there is no reason why you shouldn't! Yoga has a million and one benefits for your mental and physical health and is often suggested as an alternative therapy for many different illnesses, so here are my 5 favourite places in Manchester to do yoga...

1.Sadhana Yoga

Based in Monton, Eccles, Sadhana yoga provides yoga and pilates throughout the week for all levels, so no matter if you're a beginner or a pro, you're going to get something out of the class. There are also baby and toddler yoga & pilates sessions on a Monday for all of you mums that want to get out and exercise but struggle with conventional places. My favourite thing about Sadhana Yoga is the atmosphere, you feel welcome from the moment you walk in and the teacher is super friendly. Unlike a lot of places where there can be quite a serious vibe to the class, here it's all about enjoying the experience, which is exactly what yoga should be about.

2. Manchester Yoga Central

If you're really into yoga I am quite sure you'll love it here. Based inside Victoria Warehouse (next to Manchester United's stadium) it's a place of complete relaxation, when you walk into the studio it's like being in a whole new world. If you aren't sure about which type of yoga you prefer this is a great place to start as they offer a variety of different styles such as Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Dynamic Flow and specific classes for the mind. They also offer other holistic therapies so you can get the whole yogi experience all in one place.

3. Gym & Juice

Right in the heart of the city centre, Gym & Juice is probably one of the coolest gyms i've seen, ever. And what's better, they've even started yoga classes on a Thursday evening so you can build your strength and cardio in their classes like Asspiration and Total, then compliment these workouts with a mix of Vinyasa and Yin yoga. All you have to do is look at their Instagram page and you'll be hooked, find out more on their website...

4. Lululemon St. Ann's Square

Yoga session then shopping for yoga clothes afterwards, what more could you want? The Lululemon shop in St. Ann's Square offers yoga classes every Saturday morning for anyone to try out. Tucked below their store, the yoga studio is decorates with fairy lights and whisks you away from the bustle of the city. The store invite different teachers to come and give the classes so you never know what you'll get from one week to the other which is pretty exciting right?

5. Yoga Express

Like to keep your workouts short? Yoga Express is for you then, with 45 minute lessons, they are great for people on the go that want to get in a quick yoga session during their lunch break or after work. They provide dynamic yoga classes to leave you feeling refreshed and full of energy, as well as building your strength and flexibility, there is more information on their website here
